Introducing BFree Foods! A Dublin, Ireland based company that has recently entered the US market! BFree sells wraps, pitas, rolls, bagels and bread loaves in select stores all around the country. And the best part? All products are free of wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts and soy, making them gluten-free, vegan and free from all major allergens! With so many allergens and main components removed, I’m sure you’re wondering if the products are high-quality, and I’m happy to report that THEY ARE! Additionally, BFree uses high-quality, non-GMO ingredients.

I recently had the opportunity to try ALL BFree products, and I’m kind of obsessed. I’ve been on the hunt for a good gluten-free bagel for years, and BFree’s GF bagels are the best I’ve ever had. The bagels come in multi-seed and plain, and they are soft and taste incredibly fresh. (Other gluten-free bagels I’ve tried in the past have felt a bit dense).

I’ve been having so much fun with the BFree wraps! They come in a Multigrain and a Quinoa and Chia Seed variety, and these wraps are perfect for your lunch, and even better for your quesadillas! Let’s be real, when was the last time you had a gluten-free quesadilla? Top it off with sour cream and guacamole, and you’re set! Oh, and the wraps are only 100 calories each!

Now, to the most important product: THE BREAD. BFree bread comes in brown seeded and white bread. Unlike most gluten-free breads that are twice in calorie and half the size of regular bread, BFree bread slices are large and only 70 calories a slice! My avocado toast game is VERY strong right now, and there is nothing better than feeling satisfied after a meal. BFree also serves brown and white rolls that are perfect for sliders!

BFree’s latest product is their pita bread. The bread is fresh and sturdy, and it doesn’t fall apart when you pack it with your favorite ingredients! I recently made a Greek inspired pita sandwich, and I have a few more recipes up my sleeve I’m eager to test out.

Pro Tip: once you open each package, definitely enjoy the entire package that week, and if you are unable to do so, pop it in the freezer!

Introducing Paleo Passion Foods: A company that is truly evolving the way we eat! Serving Grainless Granolas and Passion Pops that are free of cane and refined sugars, this relatively new brand is making waves in the gluten-free community, with shelf space in 900 stores across the US, including Whole Foods, ShopRite, Balduchis and Fairway!

I had the opportunity to try Paleo Passion Foods granola this week, and I’m hooked! The granola, called Krave The Krunch, comes in three flavors: Maple Cinnamon, Choco-Nuts, and Caribbean Coconut. Given I’m a choco-holic, the chocolate granola came first. Andddd, as you can imagine, it was gone within 24 hours. The maple and coconut didn’t last much longer, especially after my friends stopped by to taste test with me.

Paleo Passion Foods granola is grain-less, which makes it stand out amongst competing brands. Whereas most granolas are typically comprised of gluten-free oats and other GF grains, as well as an array of nuts and dried fruits, PPF is a blend of shredded nuts, seeds, and natural sweeteners like Wildflower Honey and Cinnamon. The granola is protein PACKED and incredibly tasty and as the brand states, they make granola both “you and the planet can feel good about.”

I love eating granola plain, but for a more filling and complete breakfast, add a half cup of coconut milk and top your mixture off with berries and banana! This creation (pictured below) has become my new go-to breakfast!

PPF is also famous for their pops! The pops come in seven flavors as well as a variety pack, and have no added sugar, refined sugar, or processed sugar. The flavors are unique, and each one is enhanced by either flax or chia seeds. My favorite was the pineapple ginger, because anything with ginger in it has me sold. The pops are low calorie, too, making them the perfect afternoon snack!

Sweet Potato Pancakes

Let’s be real, we all want to cook ourselves a hearty, healthy breakfast, but we either don’t have the time, or we don’t have the ingredients! Well, for those of you rushing out the door but trying to pack in your essential nutrients and protein early in the day, this recipe is for you! I’m pretty famous for my 2-ingredient banana pancakes, and ever since becoming the banana pancake expert, I’ve found my passion for cooking meals with 2-3 ingredients or less! Introducing my two-ingredient sweet potato pancakes! Colorful, tasty, filling, GLUTEN-FREE, and healthy!

What You Will Need:
1 Medium Sweet Potato
2 Eggs
Optional: Cinnamon, Baking Powder, Vanilla

What You Will Do:
With a fork, poke holes in your sweet potato and microwave for ~4 minutes.
Separately, whisk together the two eggs.
Peel skin off sweet potato and combine sweet potato and eggs in a blender.
Once combined, pour batter onto skillet. Keep the pancakes small: ~2″ diameter!
Let the pancakes cook for a minute or so, then flip!
OPTIONAL: Add a dash of vanilla, baking powder, and cinnamon! And of course, top it off with maple syrup and fresh berries.

One sweet potato and two eggs should serve 8 two-inch pancakes. Not only is this meal easy to make, but it is SO filling! These pancakes are healthy and perfect for breakfast or lunch! Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Waffles

sweetwaf1Everyone knows I love sweet potatoes. In fact, sweet potato french fries are on my list of top 3 favorite foods! And when it comes to breakfast, I’m a gluten-free pancake and waffle connoisseur. So I figured, why not combine my two loves and make sweet potato waffles? To the internet I went, collecting inspiration from several recipes I saw floating around on the web, and as I began my experimenting I knew a new favorite recipe was about to be made.

What You Will Need:
  • 1½- 2 Cups Sweet Potato
  • 1 C. GF Rolled Oats
  • 1 T. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon (Optional)
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ C. Coconut Milk
  • 1 T. Coconut Oil
  • 1 T. Vanilla Extract
  • Toppings of your choosing!

What You Will Do:

  • Cook sweet potatoes – If in a rush like I usually am, microwave for about 6 minutes.
  • Combine dry ingredients in a food processor. Blend. Pour into a mixing bowl.
  • Combine wet ingredients (sweet potato, egg, oil, milk, vanilla) in a food processor. Blend.

  • Mix wet and dry ingredients together and stir until smooth!

  • Coat waffle maker with coconut oil or a spray, and pour the batter on! In just minutes, you’re done!

Ah, wait! Don’t forget to add toppings! I love adding almond butter and a little fruit, and sometimes when I want to take the recipe up a notch, I add some cinnamon into the mix.
