So here's what we think...

CREAM is the ice cream place every person dreams of. They have scoops and they have shakes, but what makes CREAM so amazing is they have ice cream sandwiches on deck in pretty much any flavor variety you could dream of…and yes, they do have the ability to make them gluten-free. *cue happy dance*…

Right now, CREAM has two locations in LA – University Park and North Hollywood – but this place is so fantastic I wouldn’t be surprised if they have themselves a little ice cream empire within the next couple of years.

Let’s start with the important stuff: the ice cream sandwich. CREAM has three types of freshly baked cookies that are gluten-free – chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and white chocolate fudge – that can be combined with any of their many ice cream flavors. One thing to note here if you can’t have dairy is that they have dairy-free, soy-based ice cream, but the gluten-free cookies do have dairy in them.

Since I was with a friend who has no dietary restrictions, we ordered a sammie with chocolate chip cookies, banana walnut fudge ice cream, and sprinkles as the topping. This produced one of the most photogenic ice cream sandwiches I have ever seen in my life. Side note: thank you CREAM for making your food so beautiful it’s gonna blow up my insta later.

We also ordered a custom shake, which you can upgrade to a cookie shake if you want. Obviously, we did that. Our shake was made with white chocolate fudge cookies and the We Be Jamm’n ice cream flavor. Blend all that with a little milk and you have yourself a masterpiece.

Now if you’re wondering what I was able to enjoy, CREAM has two soy-based ice cream flavors – mint chocolate chip and blueberry – that were equally delicious. I got peanuts as a topping for the blueberry, but ate the mint chocolate chip plain because it was so perfect it didn’t need anything else.

I think we can all agree that the fact that CREAM sells gluten-free ice cream sandwiches is enough reason to drop whatever you’re doing and head to the nearest location, stat. If you don’t agree…we can’t be friends.
