So here's what we think...

Legal Sea Foods reputation precedes them. To this day, they are one of the most highly regarded gluten-friendly restaurants out there, and they did not gain this reputation by just offering plain, steamed fish. Legal Sea Foods enables gluten-free patrons to have the same dinning experience as the rest of their patrons by offering a multitude of enticing menu options and amazing hospitality…

Legal Sea Foods gluten-free menu is extensive. Any menu item with a red symbol marked next to it can be made gluten-free. Many of their menu options are naturally gluten-free and any sandwich, burger, or po boy can be made breadless to accommodate nobread patrons. Although many of their menu items are naturally gluten-free, it is important to inform your server that you are gluten-free. Informing your server that you are gluten-free means that the chef will be notified of your dietary restriction when preparing your food, and the restaurant manager will personally deliver your food so that there are no errors. The kitchen will also send out amazing gluten-free dinner rolls. The dinner rolls are hands down the best gluten-free rolls I have ever had! Even my friend who is not gluten-free thought the rolls were incredible. To start I ordered the Crispy Montauk Calamari, because it is rare to find NOBREAD-approved fried calamari while at a restaurant. The dish did not disappoint! Also, fun fact, all of Legal Sea Foods “fried” dishes are naturally gluten free. For a main course I recommend any of the char grilled entrées. These entrees are served with your choice of two sides, of which all but two can be made gluten free! My friend and I split the Faroe Island Salmon with french fries and coleslaw and the Crabmeat and Avocado Salad. Both were extremely fresh and delicious! And if you have room for dessert, I highly recommend ordering the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake. Even if you think you are full, trust me, you have room for this cake. The moist chocolate cake, paired with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and a coconut almond macaroon, was to die for!

With a friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff, prime location by the Gallery-Chinatown metro stop, and a cozy atmosphere, Legal Sea Foods is the perfect place to grab a meal with family or friends. Their extensive gluten-free menu is sure to have something everyone will love!
