So here's what we think...

When I travel, I focus on trying all new restaurants that I’ve never been to before! Well I had to let this slide on my recent trip to Boston; one of my favorite restaurants in NYC, Toro, also has a location in Boston… and the Boston spot is the OG location!! And given I could eat at Toro every day, I totally made a point to hit up the Boston location while I was in town (for just 2 days!), and I’m so happy I did!!…

As expected, the ambiance at Toro is amazing. You feel as though you’ve been transported to a Barcelona tapas bar and the bar vibe is sexy and trendy. The drink menu was so delicious I had to order a drink… even though it was just barely noon! There are a few go-to gluten-free items I order every time I go out for tapas: grilled corn, shrimp, Spanish omelette, Octopus, and PAELLA! I started with the Gambas (griddled‎ garlic shrimp, cascabel chilies, lemon and parsley) and Grilled corn that was drenched in alioli, lime, espelette pepper, aged cheese (total food porn). Both of these appetizers are a must, especially for the dairy-lovers! I dabbled in each appetizer but saved room for the main attraction- the Paella! The Paella was gluten-free (no modifications needed!) and the half portion my friend and I ordered was large enough to feed at least four. The paella we ordered came with mussels, clams, shrimp, Spanish pork sausage, chicken, Calasparra rice… I seriously was at a loss of words when I was eating. I wasn’t even hungry after a few bites but I couldn’t put my fork down!

Toro is perfect for your next date night, Girls Night Out, dinner with clients or the fam, and more! I highly recommend anyone living in or traveling to the Boston area to go and check it out!
