It’s hard to go wrong when choosing a restaurant on Abbot Kinney, but 3 Square Cafe is definitely one of my favorite spots to go grab brunch. Situated on this trendy street in Venice, 3 Sqaure is the perfect restaurant to dine at on a nice, sunny day, because the space is so open and bright. Although 3 Square is attached to a bakery, they have quite a few gluten free menu options!…
3 Square serves great breakfast dishes and salads for the NOBREAD crowd, and also serves Mexican-influenced dishes like fish tacos. I love the selection of fresh and interesting salads, most of which are gluten free. My favorite is the Poached Chicken Salad with baby kale, hazelnuts, Manchego cheese and apple. I am also a fan of the Roasted Brussels Sprout Salad served with Greek yogurt, grapes, mint, walnuts, and pomegranate molasses. If you’re in the mood for breakfast, you have to order one of the omelettes of the day. The omelettes come in unique combinations that are changed regularly. The goat cheese, chicken, and roasted pepper omelette of the day is my personal favorite and a huge hit. 3 Square Cafe also offers an extensive list of burgers and sandwiches, and although there is no gluten free bread, many of these dishes can be prepared with no bread!
3 Square is the perfect place for a casual breakfast with friends before hitting the Abbot Kinney shops or heading to the beach. Most of the food is pretty healthy and served in satisfying portions. On a warm summer day, grab a seat at an outdoor table and people watch on this adorable street!
