I’m currently in LA for two weeks eating my way through the city. I have a scheduled lunch and dinner at a restaurant every day, at some of Los Angeles’s most popular spots. Tough life, I know. Well, of all of the incredible restaurants I am scheduled to attend, I am MOST excited for Fritzi Dog. Shocking? Probably. But one look at the menu and I knew it would be my best meal of the week…
The concept of Fritz Dog is pretty amazing. Choose a dog, add a few toppings, ask for a gluten free bun, and wah-lah! You have an amazing gluten free meal. All of the dogs and toppings are gluten free! The Stadium Style dog (on a gluten free bun) is a beef/pork blend and the most popular hotdog. The All-Beef and Jalapeño Chicken are favorites as well! All meat-dogs contain a bit of dairy, so if you are also dairy free you will have to sit these out. Now, to the most amazing part about Fritzi Dog and the hotdogs I ordered– the vegetarian dog. Fritzi Dog caters to vegetarians and offers a roasted carrot dog that is both gluten and dairy free! I opted for two carrot dogs, one topped with brussels sprouts and one topped with sauerkraut, and I was beyond amazed! The carrot is soft and cooked perfectly, and the toppings were the perfect compliments to the meal. Now to the sides! The tots and fries are gluten free, and if you are a brussels sprouts lover like myself, the brussels tots are gluten free and AMAZING. Fritzi also serves cauliflower popcorn, which sounds incredible too, but unfortunately it is not gluten free.
Serving fast casual hotdogs that are healthy and suitable for customers with all dietary restrictions and preferences, Fritzi Dog is a MUST-TRY spot, and a gem I am SO happy to have found! Perfect for the meat-eaters and meat-less, and it’s totally affordable! I will be back (VERY) soon!!
