ROC Restaurant, located in TriBeCa, is the perfect place to bring your hungry parents when craving a fresh and delicious Italian meal with a great setting, and even better service. With tons of gluten-free menu options and handmade gluten-free pasta, do I need to say more?…
My friend and I sat on the sunny outside patio one Saturday afternoon for a late lunch, starting it off with none other than sparkling rose. Excited to try all of the different menu options, including the many interesting small plates, we decided to share several dishes. We started with the watermelon and roasted almond salad, which is the perfect summer refresher. We also ordered the tuna tartare with avocado (no chips) and the octopus a la plancha. My friend and I tried to decide which one was our favorite but all were equally amazing. Of course, we came for the gluten-free pasta, and Rocco recommended the GF penne pasta with fresh tomatoes, silician tuna, pinenuts, olives, capers and Grana Padano as the perfect summer dish for a hot day! All the gluten-free dishes were awesome, and even though it is Italian cuisine, the menu is so gluten-friendly! Next time, I will for sure be trying the roasted branzino with bloody mary sauce and the classic fettuccine bolognese!
If, like many of us, you don’t have the opportunity to travel to Europe this summer, ROC will transport you to the Italian coast with its authentic flavors and cuisines. I highly recommend ROC for a relaxing evening full of good company, conversation, food and wine!
