Dudley Market is a new addition to the thriving Venice restaurant scene and adds a bit of elegance to the boardwalk. The restaurant is small, but in addition to serving an awesome breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, Dudley is also a market, offering pastas, grains, olive oils, and apartment/kitchen accessories. A meal with a bit of shopping all in one stop? Sounds like my kind of spot…
At first glance, the limited menu had me a bit nervous, but all sandwiches can be made NOBREAD! Although sandwiches are almost always gluten free when you ask for NOBREAD, I rarely do, as portions typically are less than filling. This is not the case at Dudley! I ordered the tuna sandwich with boiled egg, NOBREAD, and was amazed at how filling the portion was. The tuna was poached and very flavorful! The hamburger also looked amazing, so I’m thinking I will have to try it, NOBREAD, on my next visit. For the egg-lover, the frittata is gluten free, as is the Farmer’s Breakfast when you ask for it NOTOAST, and these dishes looked pretty awesome, too. If you’re in the mood for some sides, the french fries were outstanding, and the roasted kale is the perfect way to add some greens to your meal.
The dinner menu looks delicious, and I will have to come back in and try it. Scallops served with potatoes, arugula with peaches, and Sable, a fish I have never heard of before (ha!) all look incredible! Dudley’s Market is a great, healthy addition to the Venice boardwalk, and I’m happy I found it. I hear weekend brunch is awesome, and given how great lunch was I don’t doubt this claim!
