When eating at PassionFish it is hard to narrow down the type of cuisine you are eating thanks to its globally inspired dishes and unique flavor combinations. PassionFish brings a one-of-a-kind dining experience to the table that is unforgettable and best of all, extremely NOBREAD friendly. You may have heard of PassionFish before; the flagship PassionFish opened in 2008 in Reston, Virginia. PassionFish Bethesda, the original’s seafood-centric partner opened about a month ago, and I highly recommend making a reservation ASAP…
PassionFish’s dishes have a multitude of global influences. To start my friend and I had the Spicy Shrimp Roll and the Salmon Sunrise Roll, both of which are incredible. And the best part? PassionFish has gluten-free soy sauce! I highly recommend ordering the Steamed Blue Hill Bay Mussels & Fries. Make sure to ask for NOBREAD and if you are sensitive, beware that the fries are subject to cross contamination. The limoncello cream gave the mussels a creamy rich flavor. For dessert, the Caramel Crème Brulee (without the biscotti), the sorbet, and the seasonal fresh fruit are all NOBREAD approved! Our table ordered both the Caramel Crème Brulee and the Sorbet. We loved our deserts and kept eating them… even though we were already full! Other NOBREAD flavors we here are great include the ceviche, baby octopus, and Red Thai Curry + Golden Pineapple.
I cannot wait to come back in the spring/summer when it is nice outside again, and sit and eat many more sushi rolls on the outdoor patio. PassionFish embraces flavors from around the world, giving each dish a unique flavor experience. With is NOBREAD friendly menu and attentive and helpful staff, PassionFish Bethesda is a great spot for any seafood lover!
