Okay it’s official. State Fare Bar & Kitchen, located at the Ritz Carlton in Palm Springs, is one of the most beautiful, exquisite dining experiences I have had in the state of California. Let’s just start with the hotel. Wow. The drive up to the resort is absolutely stunning and it is situated on top of a hill so the view is literally incredible… especially at sunset! Watch the desert turn purple and pink and slowly darken while enjoying cocktails by the fireplace or dinner above the pool!…
The waitstaff at State were not only incredibly friendly, but they were very knowledgable when it came to gluten-free options. Upon telling them about my allergy, I was served gluten-free pita to enjoy with my cocktail! Carbs and cocktails is totally the way to my heart. I love calamari, and when I was told the fried calamari could be done gluten-free I had to order it! Given this dish was technically an appetizer, I ordered two sides to supplement my meal. The grilled asparagus and brussels sprouts were the perfect, nutritious additions. My friend opted for the Arugula & Date Salad, and added the NY Strip to it to make it more filling! We were both super happy with our meals! Other gluten-free menu option include the Sea Scallops, Roasted Chicken, Steak Frites, and Skuna Bay Salmon!
With so many gluten-free options, and one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever experienced, I can say without a doubt that I will be returning to this restaurant. I had read prior to going to the restaurant that State is one of the best restaurants in Palm Springs, and I’m going to agree! Thank you for an amazing meal!
