Bill’s Bar and Burger is famous for their American cuisine and, you guessed it, their burgers! Bill’s has locations all over NYC, in Midtown, Meatpacking, and the Financial District. Burgers aren’t always nobread friendly, especially when there is no GF bread, but lucky for us, they make a gluten free bun and all of their beef burgers are NOBREAD approved! Bill’s is always accommodating when it comes to making modifications, and they are happy to remove sauces and croutons to make your meal gluten free! It is the perfect place for GF dudes, or for an omnivore date who wants a good drink and a cheeseburger. They also make some mean milkshakes to wash down your meal…
My table started with the guacamole and pico de gallo while we looked at our menus. I decided on the bacon and cheddar burger with the GF bun, and I didn’t regret it! One of my friend’s ordered the grilled shrimp burger, which came with avocado, carolina coleslaw, pickles, and tartar sauce. We loved both! The Mini B’s were cute but unfortunately Bill’s doesn’t make GF buns for the tiny bites. Vegetarians should note that the veggie patty isn’t GF, but there are several salads on the menu to make up for it, and the side of roasted brussels sprouts is awesome! Bill’s house salad and chicken cobb salad are gluten free, and all other salads can be ordered without croutons; the steak salad with blue cheese and mushrooms has my name written all over it.
If you still have room, order a shake! I loved the campfire shake with house made toasted marshmallows and vanilla ice cream. The chocolate peanut butter bomb shake is also NOBREAD approved; it’s chocolate ice cream swirled with buttery toffee crunch and spiced peanuts. How can you resist!? While your meal may not be particularly healthy, Bill’s Bar and Burger is the perfect spot for indulging… NOBREAD style!
