The Liberty boasts a lively atmosphere and elegant décor. From its wooden countertop tables to its beautiful wrap-around-bar located at the center of the restaurant, the Liberty promises a great time with even better food. At dinner time, you can expect the restaurant scene to be that of men dressed in suits and women in pencil skirts, having just gotten off a long day’s work, and who are ready to unwind with good company, refreshing drinks, delicious fare…
From the start of our dinner to the end, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was more than happy to go over the entire menu, informing us on what was gluten-free. While they had many battered items on the menu, the waiter ensured us the alternatives could not be missed. All the burgers could be gluten-free without the bun and you could sub in a salad for the fries (subject to cross contamination). Even better, all their pizzas except for the white chicken pizza, could be made gluten-free! My friend and I decided to start off with the shrimp cocktail, and for our mains, ordered the margherita pizza and the pesto and three-cheese pizza.
What girls’ night out would be complete without some wine? Although we had to opt out of the beer, our waiter brought us each out a glass of Pinot Grigio—incredibly smooth and crisp! The shrimp cocktail was extremely fresh, and the shrimp were huge. I loved their sauce Louis, a mayonnaise-base sauce that was both sweet and tangy. Although the pizzas resembled more of a flat bread, the crust was deliciously crispy. The pesto pizza was every cheese-lover’s dream—the ricotta was creamy and went perfectly with the sharp parmesan and gooey mozzarella. While I didn’t get to try my friend’s margherita, I could only imagine how good it tasted; san marzano tomato, fresh mozzarella, all drizzled in olive oil and topped with generous amounts of fresh basil leaves.
Whether you’re looking for a perfect place for a girls’ night out, to catch up with friends and colleagues, or simply for a delicious meal in a classy yet laid-back ambiance, The Liberty is worth checking out. What’s better than experiencing delicious food among good vibes, all the while admiring the restaurant’s homage to the city’s heritage!?
