Brother Jimmy’s is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in North Carolina, slow smoking barbecue with locations around New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. For those who are gluten-free, it can be hard to enjoy Southern cuisine, but Brother Jimmy’s makes that possible with their new gluten-free menu! The menu features all of our favorite southern BBQ dishes without the bun, making classic entrees totally NoBread approved…
Let’s be honest, you’ve all been to “Bro J’s” for some booze… but you may or may not have known that they serve pretty awesome food too! The menu had many options, so my friend and I opted for the BBQ combo with pulled pork, pulled chicken, sliced brisket, and ribs since it was the perfect dish to sample and share. We also had the blackened catfish with brussel sprouts that the chef steamed instead of fried in order to assure that they were gluten-free. All of the meat was delicious! After tasting the pulled pork, I can definitely understand why that was their speciality. We also tried a few sides, my favorite being the BBQ baked beans. Next time I go to Brother Jimmy’s, I want to try one of their burgers… NOBREAD, of course!
Brother Jimmy’s has the sports-bar-meets-southern-hospitality vibe you and your friends might be looking for next time you go out to eat. It’s the perfect spot to catch a sports game or to have lunch with the boys! And best of all, nothing is off-limits thanks to their GF menu!
