Move over ice cream, rice pudding seems to be New York’s latest dessert craze. The Rice Cream Shoppe, located in Greenwich Village, serves up classic rice pudding with interesting flavor twists and toppings!..
Offering 20 different flavors and a menu that is almost entirely gluten-free, apart from cookies-n-cream, s’mores tiramisu and several toppings, there are plenty of options to choose from. Not to mention, they serve 8 vegan flavors! I had the opportunity to sample all of the gluten-free flavors, and my favorites included original, coconut, vegan dulce de leche and bacio. When it came to ordering, I went with a coconut and bacio mix, topped with roasted almonds and toasted coconut, while my friend stuck with the original, sprinkled with cinnamon! Both were equally delicious and brought me back to the days when I used to live off this stuff–why had I ever stopped?!
