I thought nachos were my favorite food, but that’s because I had yet to try loaded fries. 375°, a hole-in-the-wall fry shop located in the Lower East Side, has not only a million dipping sauces for French fries, but also a selection of fries loaded with everything from guac and beans to pork and a fried egg. If you’re looking for a late-night snack or “cheat” meal, 375° fries will hit the spot…
375° has 16 dipping sauces to choose from for your fries – we tried the red curry and Korean ketchups, white truffle mayo and sriracha mayo and all were amazing. 375° offers both classic fries and Belgian thick-cut fries, which we didn’t try, but I hear the are crispy and delicious. To take your fries from a meal to a snack, try any of their loaded options – all except the Swedish Poutine and Fish & Chips are gluten-free. We tried the Nacho fries, which were complete with cheese and guac, and the Banh Mi fries, which were topped with a runny fried egg and sriracha mayo. There are a couple other Asian-inspired options: the Okonomiyaki fries are topped with pickled ginger and nori furikake, and the Kimchi fries come with spicy cilantro and sriracha mayo.
Definitely come hungry and bring a few friends – the loaded options have a number of hearty, flavorful toppings and are filling enough to be a meal (or two or three). If you’re craving something salty after shopping in Soho or hitting some of LES’s bars for the night (the joint is open until 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday), 375° will hit the spot.
