So here's what we think...

One might go to Happy Camper for their great pizza, but be careful, you might stay all day! Grab a seat on a tire swing, the spacious patio or even in the indoor Airstream and order up a couple classic or creative thin crust pizzas for a great dinner or weekend brunch. With great cocktails and service to match, Happy Camper is a must visit…

Happy Camper’s team is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and they were great when recommending the many gluten-free menu options. We opted for weekend lunch and began the delicious meal with mozzarella bread sticks and marinara dipping sauce. Gluten-free eaters (and non-gluten free eaters too), these are a must!

Happy Camper has plenty of salad options and a brunch menu, but their gluten-free pizza crust is too good to pass up. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, the Linda Vegetarian Pizza, the Grandma Pie and a Make-Your-Own option with pesto, spinach, roasted garlic and blackened chicken. Any small pizza can be made gluten-free with the exception of pizzas containing meatballs and ranch – so ranch dippers, go for the marinara. The make-your-own option is great for those that have a taste for something not on the 20+ pizza menu. There is also a cheese-less vegan pizza option for those avoiding dairy. Happy Camper truly does a great job accommodating all food tastes and preferences!

The Grandma Pizza was the standout of the day topped with a BBQ sauce base, roasted chicken, onions, green peppers, pepperoncinis, romas and cilantro. A delicious combination I wouldn’t have created on my own. The light and refreshing Linda Pizza was topped with red peppers, feta, spinach, mushrooms with and olive oil base. The Classic Pepperoni pizza was gooey, spicy and finger-licking good.

Happy Camper is great restaurant with both classic and creative gluten-free pizzas. This unique Chicago spot is fun, hip and delicious. I can’t wait to go back!
