I went gluten-free when I was 19 (in 2009). Years

I went gluten-free when I was 19 (in 2009). Years of chronic illness had culminated in regular hospital visits and stays, and I had started suffering chronic rashes and hives that kept me awake and in pain 24 hours a day. My celiac disease diagnosis changed my life. I don’t rush to the hospital anymore in pain, a hive is rare, and I rarely even get a cold.

As you can imagine, in 2009 no one was talking about Celiac and gluten-free food at restaurants... I could barely even find any GF products in stores! Eating at restaurants was HARD, and that’s what gave birth to NOBREAD and my forever mission to create awareness around gluten-free dining and food.

Fast forward to now. 2025. Not only is gluten-free everywhere, but restaurants now symbol which items are GF on their menus, and even better, most menus just ARE gluten-free. Because food tastes great... without the gluten. Still, it comes as a shock to people that I dine so freely at restaurants. But it’s because I finally can! And it’s so freeing! If you’re struggling with what to order when you’re out, or still unsure what you can and can’t eat; you’ve come to the right place.

I’m forever grateful that I’ve turned my passion into my career, and that you are all along for the ride! 🚫🍞

NOBREAD started as a blog. A place where I could write endlessly about food, wellness, and restaurants. I was obsessed. I wrote all day (even on the trading floor when no one was around) and I came home from 12 hour workdays at JPM and kept writing at night.

My passion for writing started when I was young. I kept dozens of journals, wrote short stories, and in High School submitted my creative writings to competitions.

When social media and photos (and now videos) became the focus of social media, I shifted from writing to photos. But truth be told, the photos don’t capture what my words can say. I let writing, my hobby, get away from me.

This year I made a commitment to myself to write more, and now that I’ve started I can’t stop!

Which brings me to Substack. Here you will see the things you may expect to see from me (gluten-free food and wellness) but also all of the things I don’t always share on IG. My relationship, our future plans, hot takes on the latest happenings in consumer venture capital, personal finance strategies and more. And as I grow, the topics will grow, too.

What I eat in a day for healthy hormone balance! All of my meals center around a protein source and it has changed my life. Especially for someone like me who is often on the go- protein keeps you fuller longer and is an amazing energy source. My Super Crispy SMASHED potatoes! 🥔 Piggybacking off of my Crispy Potato recipe from this summer, this new variation quite literally SMASHES its predecessor. SO soft on the inside, yet crispy all around. We ate the whole pound of potatoes so quickly last night I’m running back to the store today for more!

Welcome to BOOK CLUB! 📕

One of my resolutions this year was to read more. Reading completely relaxes me and shuts off my brain from my work and life stresses, but busyness has gotten in the way! I set the target of 1 book a month. I’m 4 down for the year with 2 on deck for March, and it feels SO good to be back in my groove!
1. The Housemaid- holy wow. CAPTIVATED. page turner. worth every bit of the hype! The ultimate vacation/beach read.
2. The Wedding People- okay so this was one of the most recommended books ever- but it started SLOW for me. I honestly didn’t get into it until the last 100 ish pages. But the ending and all things second half of the book were GREAT.
3. The Let Them Theory- truly incredible and insightful. If you’ve done emotional work in your life, some may seem intuitive, but some parts of the book STRUCK me. Highly recommend reading all of it- even the parts that may not apply to you. I love a good reminder.
4. The 5 Types of Wealth- money isn’t everything. I may be biased but the contribution in the physical wealth section of the book is by my crush ;)
