For most gluten free foodies, a burger joint like In N Out may seem like a no-go. However, unlike most fast-food establishments, In N Out has dedicated themselves to serving fresh, quality food. In their very own words, “quality is everything.” It’s true; at In N Out gluten free isn’t a limit. The protein style burger replaces the bun with a lettuce wrap which not only cuts the gluten, but cuts the calories as well. If you are a newbie, be sure to get the In N Out lingo down. My go-to is the double-double protein style, which is two patties, two pieces of cheese, burger-fixings including their signature thousand island dressing, wrapped in a fresh piece of lettuce. If you order the popular ‘Animal Style,’ this modification adds grilled onions, pickles, extra sauce, and best of all, extra cheese. The burgers, whether you are gluten free or not, MUST be accompanied by a side of fries and the fries are gluten free! You can order them plain, well done (extra crispy), cheesy, or ‘Animal Style’ (with their signature sauce and cheese). If you aren’t stuffed yet, finish your meal off with one of In N Out’s mouthwatering shakes. Choose from vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry! You can’t go wrong! P.S. If you are worried about cross contamination, do not hesitate to speak to a manager. In N Out puts the customer first, and they are happy to make sure your burger is cooked completely separate.

Gluten free or not, this California landmark should not be missed. In N Out has earned its iconic status and outperforms California’s best/ most popular foodie establishments. And the best part… it’s quality food that doesn’t break the bank!
