Growing up, I LIVED for Halloween. In fact, I often think about how sad I would have been every Halloween if I knew about all of my current food intolerances; I would have had to give away the majority of my candy!!
Thankfully, companies like YumEarth have recognized that candy is the first to go for those with food allergies and intolerances, and have created a product that solves this problem. As a little refresher, YumEarth is an organic candy line that uses simple flavors, colors and ingredients in their products, and steers clear from artificial ingredients! Almost all of YumEarth products are free from the top-8 allergens (egg, fish, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree-nuts, wheat). Furthermore, most of the candies are Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Nut Free, and of-course, Gluten-Free!! I don’t think people realize how IMPORTANT it is that companies like YumEarth exist!
I’m pretty much obsessed with the YumEarth sour twists, and it’s been my intention since discovering the brand to serve all of their candies at Halloween, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that for a limited time, Gummy jack-o-lanterns and bats and Organic Candy Corn are back on sale at YumEarth for the holiday! Candy Corn at Halloween is like Candy Canes at Christmas and Chocolate on Valentine’s Day… A.K.A. a total must have. To see an allergy-friendly version has literally made my year. Oh and the taste? DELICIOUS! Seriously even better than I remember.
I bought the Halloween Variety Pack for this year’s Halloween (assortment of pops, gummy bats, and gummy jackolantern snack packs), and while I was at it, I picked up a few bags for my friends and a couple of extra to keep in my cabinets for after the holiday. The only thing that makes me happier than this limited edition Halloween line existing is the fact that at my local Whole Foods, the YumEarth Halloween display is smack in the middle of the store (right by the registers) and right in the midst of all of the commotion! No wonder why the Halloween line is selling out everywhere so quickly!! Halloween is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, even the food-intolerant. Thank you YumEarth for keeping the Halloween spirit alive… and delicious! Go out and get your goodies quick!!
