Talk about quintessential Beverly Hills dining! For years now, I’ve wandered by 208 Rodeo, scurrying from meeting to meeting, or in reality… from store to store, and I’ve always admired the bustling scene taking place on the patio: people of all ages, basking in the sun over plates of salmon and steak, large salad bowls and the works, enjoying the atmosphere and sunlight. Well I finally had the opportunity to sit and stay at 208 this past week, and I’m so happy I finally did…
Think Fred’s at Barney’s meets Bar Pitti (for my NYC friends) or The Ivy (for my LA friends). The best part about the dining experience, well, other than the outdoor patio, is how gluten-friendly the menu is! There is no gluten-free pasta or bread, but outside of these dishes, most items are GF! Gluten-free favorites are the tuna tartar with no crostini and burrata with no crostini, the kale salad, the seafood salad, the salmon with no farro, and the filet mignon. My table ordered the kale salad and seafood salad- both are must-orders! The dressing is light, and although the salads are big in size, they don’t feel heavy at all! The sides are a big part of the menu at 208, and the veggie sides are all GF! For the carb lovers, like myself, the mac n’ cheese is a no-go, and the french fries are dusted in flour, so you CANNOT have them! But the sweet potato fries are gluten-free and fair game!! And quite delicious, if I may add.
Trendy vibe, delicious food, and an ambiance that will have you back in no time, 208 Rodeo is absolutely the place to be when you’re in Beverly Hills. And with so many gluten-free options, there is something different to try each time! I can’t wait to go back soon!
