Amorino is one of my favorite gelato spots in Boston. The atmosphere is very European, and along with gelato, the shop serves espresso, crepes, and macarons too! The ingredients are top notch and the recipes are straight from Italy; the gelato tastes just like the scoops I’ve had in Florence. Plus, almost every flavor is NOBREAD approved…
The only gelato flavors you need to avoid are the ones that have cookies in them. Other than those, the rest are all great options to choose from! There were plenty of choices, from fruity sorbets to creamy chocolates; I sampled everything! I loved the nutty pistachio, tropical coconut, and the basic- but amazing- vanilla! The best part about Amorino is that you can put as many flavors as you want into any size cup or cone. Unfortunately, the cones aren’t gluten free. This is extra sad because Amorino is known for shaping their gelato into a flower. Just snap a picture of your friend’s creation and get busy with your ginormous cup! That’s what I did, anyway. My favorite combination was chocolate and cherry. It was delicious and I’m dying to go back and try the caramel with salted butter… how good does that sound?!
Although you’ll have to skip the crepes and waffles, don’t miss out on the gelato-filled macaroons! They’re tiny, with an airy exterior and creamy filling. Order the raspberry… it’s my favorite! Those morsels of goodness won’t have you feeling bad after eating two or three (or six in my case)! Amorino is going to be my summer spot for all things sweet! I’m already looking forward to stopping by for a scoop on a hot July day!
