Aquagrill was one of the first restaurants I went to when I moved into New York City, and it is the restaurant that I owe my seafood obsession to. Not only are there countless inherently gluten free seafood entrees served, but the Aquagrille menu exclaims, “While our menu is already mostly gluten-free, we’ve created a modified menu for our guests who are gluten intolerant. Please inform your server of any special dietary restrictions or allergies when dining with us.” A menu that is NATURALLY nobread friendly, PLUS a gluten free menu; it’s a shame I don’t make it to Aquagrill more often…
The gluten free menu is almost as extensive as the regular menu and includes all of my favorites. The grilled octopus salad, warm shrimp salad, grilled salmon, and roasted cod dishes are my favorites. Breadless sandwiches are also offered and all sandwiches are served on a bed of mixed greens with a sherry vinaigrette. My favorite part of the menu is the “Simply Grilled” section. Fish entrees are ordered a la carte with your choice of side orders and wah-lah, a complete gluten free meal at your finger tips. Recently I went to aquagrille for brunch and was happy to see that in addition to all of the delicious seafood entrees offered at lunch and dinner, egg dishes such as omelettes and benedicts are included on the gluten free menu.
Cozy, cute, nobread friendly, and the perfect place for a catch up with your parents or friends . In the summer, definitely sit outside… Aquagrill is located right in the heart of SoHo and you never know who will walk by!
