So here's what we think...

BarTaco is a lively Mexican restaurant with locations in Portchester, NY and Connecticut. Popular for their tacos (if you couldn’t guess from the name), these masterpieces are made with corn tortillas so almost all of the dishes are NOBREAD approved! BarTaco is an awesome spot to grab a drink as well; the mojitos are to die for and there is nothing that makes me happier than a good margarita. The restaurant is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants outside the Big Apple, and it’s perfect for a large party or your next girls out. Everything on the menu is delicious, so it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I have to fill you in on a few of my favorites…

BarTaco is VERY NOBREAD friendly and there are only two items on the dinner menu that are NOT gluten free! I highly suggest sharing food so you can try a little bit of everything! Obviously, I have to talk about BarTaco’s guacamole. I’ve sampled my fare share of guacamole and I have to say that BarTaco has some of the best. It is the perfect combination of smooth avocado, tomato, and cilantro, and this consistency makes the guacamole one of my favorites. When you go to BarTaco, you have to order tacos; they are amazing and they are all gluten free! My favorites are the veracruz fish, chicken, portobello with queso fresco, curry shrimp, and sesame ribeye tacos! Other menu highlights include the mushroom mole tamale, shrimp ceviche, and the romaine wedge salad with pepitas, radishes, and lime dressing. BarTaco also has amazing sides!  I recommend the spicy cucumber salad and the stewed black beans with pork and you HAVE to order the grilled corn with lime, cayenne, and cotija cheese. It is one of my favorite items on the menu and I make sure to order it every time I go to BarTaco.

For a light dessert, definitely order the pineapple with lime and if you’re up for something bigger, the spiced chocolate pudding can be NOBREAD friendly if you order it without the topping. I love how many gluten free options there are at BarTaco, and it’s the perfect place to go when you’re in the mood to order the entire menu and share amongst friends. Just think how many Instagram options you’ll have…
