Walking into Baz Bagels feels like you are walking into a South Florida bagel shop. The wallpaper is bright and palm-printed, the tile floors are spunky, and the staff is cheerful. It’s a low-key joint in Little Italy with some of the best bagels in NYC! They have awesome spreads and sandwiches that you can order at the counter or from a corner booth and best of all, they have GF bagels…
Baz makes a ‘plain’ and ‘everything’ GF bagel. The GF version is smaller than your average bagel, which makes them the perfect snack! Unless you’re like me and you order two. I recommend doubling up so that you can try different spreads! I ordered an everything bagel with a fried egg and cheese… so classic, so delicious. The texture of the bagel is awesome: light and chewy! I also ordered a plain bagel with a heavy schmear of cream cheese, salmon, and tomato. I like that Baz doesn’t skimp on the cream cheese! If dairy isn’t your thing, they have tofu cream cheese, too, and it tastes exactly the same!
Baz is the perfect spot for people with dietary restrictions craving a bagel. I’ll definitely be back to order a GF bagel with beet and horseradish cream cheese. It’s bright purple and is the ultimate Instagram photo! Their whitefish salad also looks to die for and it is GF, too. NYC bagels are the best, and I’m always so happy when I can partake in the deliciousness… NOBREAD style!
