If you’re looking for a delicious and hearty brunch to wake you up on a Saturday morning, look no further. Belcampo has one of the most underrated brunches in town, serving the basics without the bustling lines and waits so common in San Francisco. Since Belcampo is known for their meat, meat lovers will be happy to note that they have some of the best bacon in town…
In terms of ordering, you can’t go wrong with the essential breakfast items: eggs, bacon, bomb potatoes and ridiculous bloody marys. Even the burgers and sandwiches can be made GF by ordering them without the buns! I would suggest you go with The Usual since it includes all the essentials and is prepared NOBREAD-friendly. For the healthier options, they have an array of salads, most notably the Chopped Chicken covered with apples, delicate squash, cheddar, and pistachios. Talk about a good combo! You’ll want to avoid the braised lentils since they come with farro, and also avoid the Buttermilk Ricotta Pancakes. However, once you get the bacon and potatoes you will no longer have FOMO, trust me.
The meats are well cut and of amazing quality– I can’t wait to come back for Dinner! Belcampo is a great spot with beautiful décor, mouth-watering food, and they take top-notch care of the meat they are serving.
Note from NOBREAD Contributor, Analiese Trimber: I recently checked out the LA location to try Belcampo’s Breakfast Bowl and it did not disappoint. Instead of the bowl having a more traditional base of home fries or rice, this breakfast bowl was made with crisp sweet potato fries. Topped with avocado, a fried egg, and, most importantly, bacon, this breakfast bowl is one I could probably eat every day and never tire of. The bacon, like all the meats at Belcampo, was fantastic. It was thick cut and smoky, and added a nice saltiness to the dish.
