Walking into Big Bowl was quite a delight. Guests are greeted by a contemporary Asian atmosphere; relaxing and enjoyable. Their gluten-free menu is extensive, filled with diverse dishes that will match any guest’s palate. When you’re gluten-free, Asian restaurants are usually problematic to come by because most Asian and Thai sauces contain wheat and gluten products. BUT there’s no need to fear gluten-filled sauces with Big Bowl here! Big Bowl Chicago has come to the rescue with their GF soy sauce and other gravy options. If you’ve never tried Asian Fusion food before or want another taste of this amazing food, Big Bowl is the place to go…
I was recommended the Vegetable Summer Roll as an app, and was pleased with the refreshing ingredients of cabbage and herbs. The Summer Roll comes with an array of sauces to dip which only adds to the fresh flavor! The Big Bowl Chopped Chicken Salad was sweet and flavorful–easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The crunch of cucumbers and pop of snow peppers in your mouth made every bite a new adventure. To fulfill my love of spice, I tried the Panang Curry Chicken. Again, what an amazing dish! This entree was rich and savory. The curry, with a hint of peanut and coconut, gave just the right amount of kick. Guests are able to create their own stir fry, with easy access to gluten-free goodness. However, although a new wok and ladle are used with allergen plates, there is still a possibility of cross-contamination.
Big Bowl is the perfect location for a lunch with coworkers, a dinner with the parents, or a romantic date night. For my next visit, the Kung Pao Chicken and Shrimp Summer Rolls are both on my to-order list with their rice or Pad Thai noodles and sweet Thai dipping sauce, respectively. With a relaxing vibe, yummy dishes, and incredible staff, there’s no way you wanna miss your reservation at Big Bowl Chicago!
