I have never felt more at home at a restaurant in my life. At any moment, I felt like I was going to hear my mom call for me from the kitchen! I’m not joking. You won’t want to leave. My friend, who joined me, and I both agreed that Blue Door Kitchen and Garden was one the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while…
Before Blue Door Kitchen, I’ve never been to a farm-to-table restaurant. Now, I can’t imagine dining anywhere else! The food tasted incredibly fresh, which makes sense since all of their ingredients comes from midwestern farms. Right when my friend and I sat down, we were greeted with two small gluten-free blueberry scones. Perfect for nibbling while waiting for your coffee or beverage. To start, we ordered their harvest sangria and little house on the prairie deviled eggs. Both were exquisite and I don’t use that word often. Next was an amazing Brussels and Kale Salad with Salmon. It was large enough to be a main dish but we couldn’t stop there. For the main course, our waiter brought us the Egg White Omelet and Maple and Sage Breakfast Sausage Hash. Both were delicious and the portion sizes were perfect.
Unfortunately, a separate gluten-free menu is not available, however, all of their hashes are gluten-free as well as most of the menu. Our waiter was extremely helpful and asked us about our allergies almost immediately upon sitting down. Blue Door Kitchen & Garden is the type of restaurant you can confidently take your friends and family to and know that they will leave satisfied.
