Last year, my friends and I wanted to celebrate our final night in LA and to treat ourselves to a fancy/ quintessential Los Angeles meal. Well, several people suggested we hit BOA Steakhouse, and we’re glad we did. BOA has two locations, one in West Hollywood and one in Santa Monica, and both are quite the scene! We opted for the West Hollywood location, and had a delicious meal, great cocktails, and an all around successful night…
The best part about BOA is that, like many other of IDG’s restaurants, they have a full and extensive gluten free menu. Steakhouses are typically gluten friendly, as meat, seafood, vegetables, and potatoes comprise most of the menu, and that is the case at BOA, too. To begin, I recommend the prawn cocktail… the shrimp are huge!… as well as the seafood platter if you want to dabble in a range of seafood classics. BOA is FAMOUS for their Caesar Salad, but unfortunately the dish is not gluten free, and withholding the croutons like you would with other Caesar salads isn’t possible as the crushed croutons and tableside preparation is what makes the dish popular. For your entrée, all surf & turf menu items are gluten free, and I highly recommend the salmon and Chilean sea bass. I asked for my sea bass simply grilled, but the peppercorn, herb butter, bacon jam, and blackened rub were all NOBREAD approved. Round out your dish with sautéed spinach, roasted Brussels sprouts, or asparagus, and don’t leave without trying the flourless chocolate cake and sorbet!
Awesome scene, delicious food, and prime location for hitting the West Hollywood/Hollywood town after, BOA Steakhouse is the perfect restaurant for your next girls/boys night out!
