I don’t know why I always thought Palm Springs was a small town… but it’s huge! And full of restaurants, bars, hotels, and activities! The dining scene has really proven to be something else, too. From super causal diners, to upscale American and Italian restaurants, to cultural hotspots, Palm Springs has it all! One of these restaurants is Bonta, an Argentinian and German restaurant…
Bonta is best known for their meats, and luckily for the gluten-free crowd, meat is very gluten-friendly! My friend and I ordered the Argentinian chicken which consisted of a grilled half chicken marinated with chimichurri and served with fries and a tomato-oregano salad and the Grilled Shrimp & Veggie Caprese which consited of grilled shrimp layered over tomatoes, Ovalini mozzarella, fresh basil and with grilled zucchini and a fig balsamic drizzle. I loved both; the chicken was so flavorful and the fries were perfectly crisp, and the shrimp caprese was light yet hearty. Other gluten-free options include a Grilled Shiitake & Ovalini, Skirt Steak, Sole Rustica, and German Sausage Platter. Also many of the salads can be made gluten-free with a quick fix!
Bonta is definitely more popular amongst the older crowd, but the cuisine is loved by people of all ages! Thank you for having us!
