So here's what we think...

A sports bar with gluten-free options? Unheard of! The elevated sports bar food at Bounce Sporting Club is stepping up the game. You’ve probably been to Bounce to catch a football game with the guys, or maybe for a girls night out at the club… but have you come for dinner?!…

Yes, they have more than chicken wings on their menu and yes they have gluten-free options! Just another way Bounce goes above and beyond. And, no, salads aren’t the only thing you can order if you’re gluten-free (although they have many deliciously green options). Let’s start with the game day snacks – all of their fries are gluten-free (and no cross contamination in their kitchen) including their cheesy plate from heaven – the Short Rib Disco Fries. Once I saw this on the menu I knew I had to order it, and it’s just as delicious as it sounds. Perfectly cooked fries smothered in gooey cheese and a generous pile of short rib. But save room… because there’s so many other great items to order. Our table also started with some of their made-to-order guacamole and corn tortilla chips. The guac had just the right amount of spice and it satisfied this picky Californian’s palette. A+ work, guys. Keeping on the Mexican trend, we also tried their Fish Tacos (served on corn tortillas) and they were as beautifully presented as they were tasty. Did someone say too much avocado in one meal?! Never! Next time I am definitely trying their Deconstructed Nachos. Next up, we tried one of their delicious burgers, which they served on a gluten-free bun. They can also do a lettuce wrap if you prefer! The burger was cooked to perfection and topped with cheese, onions, tomatoes, veggies, and a secret sauce that had just the right amount of spice. This burger is called “The Rudy” and is being entered into the NYC Wine and Food Festival’s Burger Bash contest. It’s got my vote! But the most surprising and stand-out dish for me was the Cauliflower Steak! Usually I opt for a real steak (I do need to come back and try their actual steak next time!) and skip the veggies, but this Cauliflower Steak blew me away. A huge hunk of cauliflower grilled like a steak, served with a delicious sauce – such a unique dish! And a healthy option I actually loved.

Be sure to save room for dessert – their picture-worthy S’mores Fondue is to die for. Ask for fruit to dip in this gooey, marshmallow chocolate heaven instead of their traditional graham crackers! Bounce definitely put a BOUNCE in my step!
