David Burke, American chef and restauranteur, has one of the most recognizable names not just in the New York City dining community, but in the dining community nationwide. He’s won a James Beard award, has appeared on Iron Chef, and is the man behind the David Burke Group which specializes in catering, restaurants, and consulting. I’ve heard great things for years about DB’s restaurants, but shockingly hadn’t been to any for myself! Thankfully, this week that all changed and I went to Burke’s newest NYC venture, David Burke fabrick. Amazing food and great service; DBf is absolutely NOBREAD approved! …
The best part about David Burke fabrick is that SO much of the menu is NOBREAD approved! To start… no matter what… you HAVE to order the candied bacon. Even if you go at lunch and it’s not officially on the menu, ask for it and have it. This is the best bacon I have ever had… in my life. Dressed in maple syrup and black pepper, I can’t say enough good things about the dish. I also recommend ordering the snapper crudo as a healthy supplement to kick off your meal. I’m typically not a crudo fan, but the snapper is served with grapefruit and plantain chips, and it is truly delicious. For my main course, I ordered the scallops, burrata salad with roasted squash, and a side of the brussels sprouts. All were incredible! I truly can’t say enough good things about David Burke fabrick, and I need to go back again soon to try more nobread approved dishes including the seared salmon, grilled branzino, and roasted cauliflower steak… and of course, to have more bacon.
David Burke fabrick is the perfect restaurant to go to for your next client lunch or place to grab a post-work drink. With food this delicious, it’s now wonder why the David Burke Group has made such a huge and recognizable name for itself, and I have officially added all David Burke restaurants to my list of places I HAVE to try in New York City.
