Mexican food is a staple in my diet and tacos are one of my favorite foods. However, restaurants often make their tacos with flour tortillas, thus tacos can be off-limits for those who need to eat gluten-free. District Taco has answered all of our nobread prayers by providing a multitude of nobread friendly taco fillings and corn tortillas! …
District Taco started out as many taco restaurants have, as a food truck. Fast forward a couple years, and District Taco now has three DC locations. The ordering system at District Taco is unique. At the register you let the cashier know whether you want tacos with flour or corn tortillas, or a burrito. Sadly, District Taco only has flour tortillas for burritos; however, the tacos are so good that you will forget that burritos were even an option. I ordered three tacos on corn tortilla with carnitas, lettuce, sour cream, and shredded cheese. You can also make each taco unique by mixing and matching the topping choices. District Taco has a multitude of taco toppings; the majority of which are nobread friendly! I highly recommend the carnitas or the pollo asado. The chips and guacamole is also a recommended order. The guacamole is fresh and extremely addicting, while the chips are the perfect combination of crunchy and greasy. District Taco is the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat with friends, especially if you do not want to spend all that much on a meal.
Make sure to let your server know that you are gluten-free, so they can take appropriate measures to assure your food isn’t cross contaminated with any flour! With an extremely large selection of nobread friendly items, District Taco gets the nobread seal of approval!
