Everyone remembers the bar where they had their first NYC date. For me, that bar was Employees Only in the West Village. Cool scene, great drinks, awesome vibe; it’s no wonder why Employees Only is a go-to date spot for many in New York City. Employees Only is more than just cocktails and a fun scene, however. Did you know that Employees Only also has an amazing dinner menu featuring several nobread approved specialties? …
To start, I highly recommend the charcuterie nobread and cheese plate nolavash. These appetizers go perfectly with your cocktails, and it is the best way to kick off your meal. For mains, the black bass, half chicken, and porterhouse pork chop are all nobread approved and popular orders. The menu changes with the season, but when I went I ordered the black bass with mussel bisque, cauliflower, fennel, and kale, and loved it! The fish was incredibly flavorful. I recommend supplementing your meal with a side, and all are gluten free except for the potato gratin. The summer succotash was delicious!
Awesome cocktails, food, and people; Employees Only is perfect for your next date or place to regroup and catch up with friends. It’s also located in the heart of the West Village, just yards from my favorites Wilfie & Nell, The Little Owl, Red Farm and more, further adding to the restaurants popularity. I highly recommend this quintessential New York City hotspot and will absolutely be back in for more food (and drinks) soon!
