Good Restaurant, located in the West Village, is just that. It’s really good! Cute, cozy, and nestled in one of my favorite areas of New York City, Good holds its own amongst other West Village hotspots thanks to its great menu, comfortable vibe, and nobread knowledgable waitstaff…
Good is most popular at brunch time, and although the menu is pretty small, there are plenty of nobread options to choose from. To start, I always order the house made potato chips. These chips are light, fresh, and delicious, and the perfect appetizer to split amongst friends to start your meal. The mushroom and spinach omelette nocheese and egg and basil scramble nogoatcheese and nobread are two of my favorite options to order. Home fries can be done regular or spicy; the spicy home fries are REALLY spicy, so if you can’t handle the extra kick, stick with the regular. Fish tacos are on the menu at all times of day, but these tacos are served on flour tortilla and NOT gluten free. Also, there are no gluten free breads or pastas, so this limited portion of the menu must be avoided, too. If you go to Good for brunch, take advantage of the many brunch cocktails offered. These unique cocktails are a must order; each drink is $12 and worth every penny.
I’ve only been to the restaurant for brunch, but the dinner menu looks excellent, as well. Seared garlic calamari, the harvest and brussels sprouts salads, and meat and fish options including the roasted chicken and pan roasted trout are nobread approved and calling my name for my next visit. Trendy, cozy, and solid food to top off your experience, I highly recommend Good Restaurant for your next brunch.
