If you Google ‘Gluten Free Los Angeles Restaurants,’ you will find Hugo’s Restaurant at the top of your search feed and written about in several media outlets. This had me thinking Hugo’s was another one of LA’s super healthy, vegan restaurants. NOPE- that was not the case! Hugo’s is an LA hotspot featuring classic American dishes. Located right on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood, Hugo’s caters to all diners and has made a name for itself as one of the most allergy-friendly restaurants in the city…
The menu at Hugo’s is HUGE, and it is incredibly allergy friendly. Not only are gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options noted on the menu, but options that can be modified GF, vegetarian, and vegan are noted too! This is what I like to see! I also love restaurants that serve breakfast and brunch items throughout the day. I finally had the chance to go to Hugo’s, and was so overwhelmed by how much I could order that I didn’t know what to choose. I settled for the Go Green Frittata. It was gluten free and vegetarian, and I asked for it with no cheese. The frittata was HUGE, and it really was green! Filled with spinach, broccoli, zucchini, asparagus, quinoa, and garlic, there was a whole ton of flavor going on in the dish. Other breakfast items I had my eye on included the make your own omelette, protein scramble, and Pasta Mama which was GF pasta with scrambled eggs, garlic, parsley, seasoning, and more. Lunch items I looked forward to trying on my next visit included the create-a-plate sides, Power of Green salad, and Kelp Noodle Bowl.
Whether you go to Hugo’s for dinner with your parents, lunch with a friend, or to take advantage of the restaurant’s WiFi as you indulge in a delicious meal, you won’t be let down by your Hugo’s experience. Portions are large, the staff is friendly, and there are PLENTY of gluten free items to choose from. Hugo’s is also a hit amongst celebs, so don’t be surprised if you see one of your A-List favorites. Yes, I was staring at you, Billy Crystal…
