The Mondrian Hotel is one of the hottest hotels in West Hollywood. A home away from home for many celebrities and socialites, you’ll never know who you’ll see! I’ve been to multiple Mondrian locations, but thanks to its chic atmosphere and posh crowd, the one here in West Hollywood stands out from the rest. To top it off, the hotel’s restaurant, Ivory on Sunset, is delicious!…
Unlike most hotel restaurants and poolside lounges that serve the basics– sandwiches, guac, fries, and a house salad– Ivory on Sunset has a full menu of high-end cuisine, and it is served at all times of the day! My friend and I grabbed lunch at Ivory the other day, and we were thrilled with all of the healthy options presented to us! To start, I highly recommend any of the salads. The Farmer’s Market Baby Greens with grilled shrimp, the Kale Salad (no cheese for me), and Stone Crab Salads are 100% gluten-free and filling, and also super healthy. The Little Gem is a take on the classic Caesar Salad, and it is gluten-free when you ask for no croutons! From the shared list, my friend and I opted for the hamachi crudo which is served with corn tortilla chips. The hamachi itself is served with avocado and is totally GF, but the chips are cooked in a shared fryer, so if you are sensitive be sure to ask for no chips. If my appetite was bigger, I totally would have ordered the octopus and hummus with veggie crudite! We were also eyeing the ahi tuna, but this dish contained soy sauce so we opted for the hamachi instead.
The brunch and dinner menus at Ivory are extensive, and super gluten-friendly too! If you are looking for a restaurant with a cool scene, good vibe, and unbelievable ambiance, Ivory on Sunset is your spot!
