It’s Friday or Saturday night, and you’re headed out to West Hollywood. Chances are you or someone in your group will suggest, starting the night off with dinner and/or drinks at Laurel Hardware. Located on Santa Monica Blvd, Laurel Hardware attracts quite the scene. I saw both Fred Durst and Maria Shriver at the bar when I went. I love restaurants that I classify as “dinner with a scene.” Start your night off with an amazing dinner and then head to the bar for a fun round of drinks– what’s not to love about that?…
The cuisine at Laurel Hardware is American, and the menu is split into your appetizers, greens, proteins, and pizza. There is no GF bread at Laurel, so you can cross off all-things bread and pizza. The menu at Laurel changes often, but one staple GF dish that seems to be a fixture on the menu is the lollipop sprouts: kale, avocado, pumpkin seeds and a house made “ranch” dressing. This dish can be seen on most tables to start the night. If you’re a veggie fan like myself, I also recommend the cauliflower with golden raisins, sprouting broccoli with anchovy dressing, and braised butternut squash. The cauliflower is amazing and probably my favorite of the three, but it cannot be made without the dairy, so if you are dairy free you will have to pass on this dish. For mains, the sirloin steak is gluten free and looks delicious.
Great food and plenty of gluten free options, I definitely recommend grabbing a meal at Laurel Hardware. After dinner you HAVE to go to the bar… you never know who you may run into! Or have a drink with… Hi Fred.
