Introducing Loosie’s Cafe, sister restaurant (and attached to) Loosie Rouge, located in South Williamsburg! Brooklyn is full of cute cafes, each one fighting to stand out from the next. Well, with its unique food, vibe, and atmosphere, Loosie’s Cafe totally stands out from the pack! One step through the doorstep and you’ll understand why…
The ambiance of Loosie’s might be the cutest thing… ever. High ceilings and bright white walls with fun colors and design set the tone for a fun, yet chill meal. As far as gluten-free goes at Loosie’s I’m not going to lie… it’s a bit tough! But that is because the menu us small. The team was happy to accommodate my gluten-allergy, and made sure I tried all the dishes that were naturally gluten-free. I was seriously craving an avocado toast, and the kitchen served me sliced avocado with a sliced hard-boiled beet egg on top so I would be able to indulge! Dabbed with a little salt and a garnish, I didn’t even miss the (gluten-free) bread! Both bowls on the menu are gluten-free, and I highly recommend trying them! The Grain Bowl consisting of quinoa, beets, and mushrooms is perfect if you’re in the mood for a healthy lunch, and the Sweet Bowl of yogurt, berries, and gluten-free granola is the ultimate brekkie bowl!
Although GF options on the main menu are limited, there is no shortage of gluten-free baked goods, and Loosie’s is known for their pastries! The gluten-free coconut macaron, fudge brownie, and blueberry cake were delicious, and the Superfood donuts were INCREDIBLE! I won’t tell you the recipe to the Superfood donuts, but they are gluten-free and vegan and made with the most unique ingredients! Hint: Tiger Nut Flour!!
Whether you are local to Williamsburg or coming from NYC, I highly recommend checking out Loosie’s Cafe! The space is adorable, the staff couldn’t have been nicer, and you will absolutely want to go back again! I know I do!
