Being gluten-free can often make my lunch break pretty boring. I typically order from the same few places, choosing simple food that I know won’t upset my stomach. But when I heard about Mulberry & Vine, it was clear that there would be no more plain lunch dishes in my future…
Walking into the restaurant, I was offered one of the largest selections of gluten-free dishes I have ever experienced. Their entire menu is gluten-free (including a spread of desserts that include banana bread, brownies, and donuts!) and you are able to choose 3 dishes, 2 sides and one main. Everything was so tempting, and was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. We ordered a variety of items off of the menu and every single dish was incredible. I especially appreciated that they offered gluten-free noodles (the Peanut Glass Noodles), and the gluten-free mashed sweet potatoes offered with any of their main protein dishes were creamy and delicious. While they do not offer any bread, gluten-free or regular, on the menu, you certainly won’t miss it thanks to the sweet potato mash! My other favorites included the charred avocado which was filled with Greek yogurt puree that tasted like cheese, and the charred BBQ broccoli which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. If you eat meat, I also highly recommend the chicken breast as the protein side– it was perfectly seasoned with lemon, rosemary, and thyme. But if you don’t eat meat (or even if you do) the sesame scallion tofu was absolutely incredible. Even if you are a little wary of tofu, or are concerned that it is bland, I can assure you that this dish was anything but. It was perfectly seasoned with scallions and had hints of ginger, making it one of my favorite dishes off the menu.
Honestly, Mulberry & Vine is one of my new favorite restaurants thanks to their expansive gluten-free menu. With multiple locations too, Mulberry & Vine is definitely a restaurant I’ll be frequenting.
