Nobu is one of the most well-known sushi restaurants across the globe. With locations in NYC, LA, Malibu, Hong Kong, London, and more, Nobu is famous for its chic decor, upscale clientele, and delicious Japanese cuisine that will have you craving more the second you leave…
For the gluten-free person, edamame and shishito peppers are available and perfect appetizers to split with friends. When I went to the restaurant, I started with the new style sashimi— you have the option of whitefish or salmon sashimi– and both are gluten-free when you ask for gluten-free tamari soy sauce! I went with the salmon and thought the fish was incredible! I’m not one for raw fish, but with sashimi that flavorful, any texture issue I had wasn’t an issue! Nobu is known for their sashimi and sushi, and the fish ABSOLUTELY live up to their hype! Best of all, the rice at Nobu is gluten-free, so the majority of sushi/sashimi dishes are gluten-free when you ask for the GF soy sauce! For my main entree, I was thrilled to learn the famous miso cod is gluten-free (just ask for no side of eggplant tempura). I ultimately went with the Chilean sea bass and it was awesome! For the vegans out there, the artichoke salad is NOBREAD-approved and a great option.
Nobu is an absolute experience, and perfect for all people and all occasions. I’m happy to report that Nobu lives up to its hype in each city I dine in, and they continue to surpass my high expectations!
