Admit it, you went to, or have been wanting to go to, NoMo SoHo because you’ve seen the countless pictures of its beautiful archway entrance and stunning NoMo Kitchen interior on Instagram. NoMo SoHo, formerly the Mondrian SoHo, has made a huge splash on the NYC dining scene, and is one of the hottest restaurant’s right now. With an absolutely stunning exterior and interior, and delicious food to match, it’s no surprise that this hotspot has made its mark on Downtown NYC…
NoMo Kitchen is best known for their breakfast and brunch. The lemon ricotta pancakes are infamous, and I hear the french toast is pretty amazing, too. Unfortunately, us in the NOBREAD crowd have to sit these mouth-watering dishes out, BUT, I am happy to report that the menu indicates which items are gluten-free by placing a ‘GF’ next to GF entrees. You’ll notice immediately that a GF is noted next to the Eggs Benedict; a dish that is never gluten free, as it features eggs on, you guessed it, bread. WELL, the bread used in this dish is gluten-free… and not just for us in the NOBREAD crowd… it is served on gluten-free bread for everyone! Major points to NoMo on this one! If you’re in the mood for eggs, the egg white frittata and eggs any style are gluten-free, too! When I went to the restaurant this weekend, I went for a late brunch, and my hunger led me to order the seared salmon for something a bit more filling. The salmon dish is hearty and served with a lovely vegetable compote. The menu also notes a ‘V’ for the vegetarians out there, and I truly love how the restaurant caters to those with dietary restrictions and preferences.
If you go to NoMo for dinner, the chicken pillared and branzino are gluten-free crowd favorites, and the salads are perfect options for a light appetizer. NoMo Kitchen has one of the best ambiance’s in New York City, and I look forward to going back again soon. It is perfect for your next date night or brunch with the girls, or for the next time you want to go and take pictures of yourself at a beautiful restaurant!
