There are two sides to me: one side loves all natural and organic foods that are only prepared with the best olive oils and spices and the other side of me loves pub/diner food. The reason why I love pubs and diners is because there is something for everyone on the menu, portions are large, and I know there will be plenty of options for me to eat…
Penny Farthing offers every kind of burger and sandwich imaginable which is easily consumed if you ask for nobread, as well as a variety of salads and entrees that are served with a vegetable/potato side. Speaking of potatoes…Penny Farthing serves every kind of potato side: French fries, sweet potato fries, waffle fries, mashed potatoes, and tater tots. Tater tots are NOT gluten free, but French fries are (careful of cross contamination!) Penny also serves a grilled asparagus and mixed veggie side, if you want to make your entrée healthier. Like most pubs, the apps are mainly gluten and dairy filled (fried calmari, dumplings, spinach & artichoke dip) so I tend to avoid the starters.
My orders: turkey burger (nobread), shrimp and tomato salad (with avocado and vinaigrette), blackened tilapia (in the past they’ve offered a salmon, too, which is great). For brunch, there are plenty of entrees including omelet’s and eggs served however you’d like for the nobread crowd. And all brunch selections include a complimentary mimosa, bloody mary, coffee, or tea/juice- can’t complain about that!
