If there is one thing I learned during my time spent in Los Angeles, it is that the city is HUGE. If you live in Santa Monica, and your friend lives in Hollywood, you may as well call your friendship long-distance. I’ve also learned that when you go out, you tend to stick to the bars in your area. Unless you’re a bar like Rock and Reilly’s. Located in West Hollywood, this Irish pub draws people far and wide, and it is one of the most fun and popular spots in the area. I’ve been to Rock and Reilly’s a few times now, and it was only on my last trip to the hotspot that I realized they serve food, too!…
The food at Rock N Reilly’s is your typical Irish-American pub fare, but don’t let that concern you! Plenty of the menu is gluten free. The famous Reilly Burger is gluten free when you ask for nobread, as are the black and blue, turkey, and vegan burgers. I love the salads at R&R; the Irish chopped with chicken, Quinoa Purple & Kale Salad, and the Cobb Salad are all NOBREAD-approved. Unfortunately there is no gluten free bread at the pub, and if you are sensitive to cross contamination you may want to pass on the fries. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the best part about the pub! They have Wifi! So it is also the perfect place to go and grab a burger (nobread) and get a little work done during the day.
In a city full of bars and hotspots it is hard to stand out, but Rock and Reilly’s manages to do so. The scene is fun, the food is good, and although you may not think so, there are plenty of gluten-friendly options for the NOBREAD crowd!
