The moment we have all been waiting for: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has begun serving delicious holiday beverages. Good news is that most of them are gluten-free too! The Peppermint Mocha, Winter Dream Tea Latte, Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Red Velvet Hot Cocoa Latte are all gluten-free for NOBREAD coffee drinkers!…
The best part is that you can decide how you want your drink served– hot, iced, or blended. You can also make your drink dairy-free by ordering soy milk or their coconut-almond blend.
The most popular of the drinks is the Winter Dream Tea Latte. If you’re as big of a chai fan as I am, then you will be addicted after one sip. I chose to have this beverage served hot, but I can imagine it being amazing over ice, or blended as well. It takes a chai latte to the next level. You can also purchase a tin of the tea bags in the store or online ($9 for 20 bags) so you can make this drink at home, but you better move fast because rumor has it that they sell out very quickly! It is the perfect blend of creamy, sweet & spicy flavors.
The Red Velvet Hot Cocoa is best served warm and literally tastes just like a red velvet cupcake, which us gluten-free eaters don’t usually get to enjoy! This is definitely more of a dessert option being that is very rich with flavor.
The Peppermint Hot Chocolate (or mocha if you would like espresso) is a classic holiday beverage that never gets old.I decided to order my Peppermint Mocha, blended, because it was a sunny day here in LA. A lot of coffee shops I have been to overdo it on the peppermint flavor. Coffee Bean has mastered this beverage. If you’re looking for something to wake you up, the mocha is the perfect option. It is not too rich and the hint of peppermint reminds you of the holidays with every sip. However, if you’re in the mood for a dessert-like treat, served without espresso is amazing as well. This, along with the red velvet, are great options to order for kids.
The new Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf seasonal beverages are a great choice for a night of holiday shopping, a coffee shop date, or an after-dinner dessert! But be careful, the Cookie Butter holiday beverage is NOT gluten-free!
