You know that moment when it’s your turn to order, but you have no idea what you want because there are SO many things to choose from? Well, that was me today at The Good Life Eatery. I even insta-stalked and checked out the menu a few times before going to the restaurant so this wouldn’t happen!…
I thought I was going to order the Goodness Bowl (quinoa salad, zucchini fettucine, sweet potato and quinoa falafel, edamame and miso dip, 1/2 avocado with omega seeds, feta cheese, gluten-free crackers, and lemon dressing), or The Good Life Salad, (kale, roasted sweet potato, quinoa, lentils, walnut, goji berries, nutritional yeast and orange tahini vinaigrette) which is also vegan, as these are the two most Instagrammed dishes at the cafe. But when push came to shove, I was at a loss! The Sunset Chopped and Venice Quinoa Salad were begging me to order them, and I must have totally ignored the Warm Bowls section of the menu! I ultimately went with the Man Bowl (one of the hot dishes) with a wild ric base and teriyaki salmon on top of steamed broccoli, as it is SO rare to find a GF teriyaki salmon! The fish was delicious; I was reminded of how much I missed my teriyaki-eating days! In addition to A TON of incredible GF entrees, the list of sides at The Good Life was pretty amazing. You can order anything from a side of 1/2 avocado with seeds, to roasted butternut squash, or green chicken meatballs with tomato sauce to a side of almond pesto!
The Good Life Eatery boasts a menu of local produce, and almost the entire menu is gluten-free! GLE has 3 locations throughout London, and it wouldn’t surprise me if more emerge soon! I even heard rumors of a Los Angeles cafe that is in the works…!
