Tillie’s has seating both indoors and outdoors, and sitting outside is the way to go! I mean, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a delicious meal in the sun overlooking the ocean? The majority of the menu at Tillie’s is gluten free; simply avoid anything with bread (the famous lobster roll, the burger, and the avocado toast)! Yes these three may be the most popular, but there are plenty other NOBREAD approved menu options to indulge in! The salads at Tillie’s all looked awesome, and my friend and I ordered the Mediterranean Salad with dandelion, dried fruits, quinoa, garbanzo, and vadouvan-olive oil vinaigrette. We also tried out the arugula and tuna salad with cucumber and balsamic. Both salads were light and tasty, and the perfect lunch orders. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and a side of fries (staples at any beach-side meal). The fries are great, but subject to cross contamination, so be careful if you are sensitive. Other NOBREAD approved, gluten-free items I had my eye on included the tuna tartare with tamari, sea bass, and sautéed spinach and kale.

Growing up, before Montauk was “Montauk,” I spent many a weekend with my family at Gurney’s. In the last few years, it’s been amazing to watch Gurney’s transform to the new Gurney’s Inn, one of the most chic spots in Montauk. The vibe at Gurney’s is awesome; I had the opportunity to check out the Inn’s breakfast and lunch spot, Tillie’s, this week, as well as spend some time at the resort, and I was blown away by everything I experienced! …
In addition to Tillie’s, LDV hotspots Scarpetta, Corso Coffee, The Beach Club Bar & Grill, all grace the Gurney’s premises. I will absolutely be back soon to check them out! If you haven’t been to Gurney’s/Tillie’s yet, I HIGHLY recommend checking them both out before summer ends! Any one else think this summer is going by way too fast?
