It is hard to believe you are not in a dream when dining at Two Hands, a quaint café in Little Italy. With their amazing food and cute décor of clouds that hang from the ceiling, you literally feel like you are on cloud 9. Shopping can take an exhausting toll (do you know how heavy bags are?!) and my friend and I were looking for a casual place to sit down, as well as order some light and refreshing eats. We stumbled upon Two Hands, and we were ecstatic with our find…
The menu at Two Hands features drinks such as juices, smoothies, milkshakes and a variety of teas and coffees, as well as some pastries and light snack/lunch options. My heart was immediately set on the Acai Bowl—an Acai mix of frozen blueberries and bananas with cacao, acai powder, and almond milk, topped with gluten free granola, hemp and chia seeds, coconut, cacao nibs, blueberries and raspberries! Immediately after the first bite, I was transported to the tropics of Brazil; the berries were incredibly juicy and fresh! The sweetness of the Acai base paired well with the slightly bitter cacao nibs, and the granola gave the dish a nice crunch—a perfect balance of flavors and textures! Two Hands caters to the healthy crowd as well as those who like to indulge every once in awhile without feeling too guilty. Even though the menu isn’t completely NOBREAD friendly, they do offer several gluten-free options such as a granola bowl, fruit salad, and a variety of sides—toasted tomatoes, chorizo, and bacon! The Avo Toast at Two Hands is incredibly popular; however, the cafe doesn’t have gluten-free bread, so the gluten-free crowd will have to opt out from this hot item.
Whether you are in the area or not, Two Hands is definitely worth checking out. With a cute atmosphere, healthy and laid-back vibe, and delicious and light bites, Two Hands is a great option for those who want to wind down and relax, or snack on something more than Starbucks’ croissant sandwiches and prepackaged Greek yogurts. I will absolutely be back again soon!
