WesBurger brings some much needed variety to the Mission District, a popular location for authentic Mexican burritos. Kitschy 70’s diner inspired interior is equipped with a faux rock wall, a jukebox and a stuffed armadillo, an homage to Wes’s Texas roots. The menu is on par with the decor featuring brisket burgers, onion rings and queso. Self-taught cook and culinary aficionado, Wes knows a thing or two about burgers. He’s worked in every aspect of the food industry from food photographer to restaurant consultant. He attributes his burger success to his contribution to a burger blog…
While many of WesBurger’s Instagram worthy menu items are gluten-laden, there are plenty of mouthwatering options for those of us who are more limited. For the veggie lovers there’s the collard greens in a tomato based sauce and for a heartier option, enjoy the cauliflower with charred scallion dressing but hold the fried shallots, which are dusted with flour. For the meat lovers, Wes goes above and beyond with his burgers. The Okie Burger is a fan favorite, for good reason. Don’t forget to opt for a bed of lettuce in lieu of a bun, though occasionally they stock up on gluten free buns. And if you haven’t had enough, top it off with a freshly made milkshake.
If you’re looking to escape the loud bustling streets of the Mission for a seriously good burger, WesBurger is your spot!
