WILD was where I broke my two (very long) year dry spell of not eating pizza, and I couldn’t have thought of a better place to do it! At WILD the motto is “feast with confidence!” And when I go to WILD, I do. The restaurant is delicious; they serve gluten free food and drinks, and make eating healthy easy…
WILD is known for their signature gluten free pizzas and pastas. I recommend going to the restaurant with a large group and ordering a bunch of items for the table. That way you can eat a little bit off of everyone’s plate. After visiting both WILD West Village and WILD Williamsburg, I have to say Williamsburg is my favorite location because of the outdoor greenhouse. With cozy tables, twinkling lights, and Harry Potter playing on a projection screen in the background, it’s hard to think of a better way to spend a Friday night. My dinners at WILD start with prosecco, and are quickly followed by gluten free garlic bread and the gluten free kale caesar salad. The food is delicious, and perfectly light, and the kale is an excellent appetizer to nosh on before digging into pizza.
WILD’s brick oven pizzas, which are all made with WILD’s handcrafted gluten free vegan pizza dough, come in a personal size or a sharable size. On the menu there are combinations such as The Wild White (mozzarella, ricotta, truffle oil, cracked pepper), Spicy Prosciutto (prosciutto, marinara, mozzarella, cherry peppers), and, my personal favorite, Vegan BBQ (bbq vegan chicken, red onion, vegan mozzarella). The Vegan BBQ is hands down my favorite. It is salty, tangy, and the perfect size portion. I also highly recommend the gluten free penne pomodoro, the spicy prosciutto, the skinny bitch, and a seasonal pizza item with lamb sausage and peppers. Next on my list to try is the spinach artichoke.
WILD is a dream restaurant for a gluten free person as they make dining worry free, special, and exciting. Before dining at WILD keep in mind that the Williamsburg location and West Village location have slight differences in their menu options. West Village is the original location, and tends to have more options than the Williamsburg location- especially on the dessert front. Visit and Enjoy this treat that is Wild!
