Entering Wildfire was something out of a dream. In the midst of the bustling city of Chicago, Wildfire invites you to dine in a dimly lit, ballroom-like ambiance. The extensive square footage gives diners plenty of place to move around while the menu ensures that everyone leaves with full stomachs. With a full gluten-free menu and inviting space, Wildfire gives you a limitless amount of options…
It’s always hard as a GF eater to go out to steakhouses with friends knowing that you won’t be able to indulge in the tempting bread basket that stares you down in every restaurant. I had heard many great reviews from friends and family about the HOMEMADE gluten-free bread served at the beginning of meals, and was beyond impressed when I bit into the toasted, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth bread. After enjoying their Baked Goat Cheese appetizer including flatbread served with a warm tomato basil sauce and creamy goat cheese dip, I indulged in Wildfire’s special-of-the-day salad, Pear and Blue Cheese Grilled Chicken Special Salad. This salad, which is similar to their regular menu item, Wildorf Salad, is filled with sweet pears, mixed greens, pecans, and more. The Wildorf looks just as yummy, filled with juicy cranberries and raisins, crisp apples and celery, and apple ranch dressing. Overall, a delicious meal!
Next time I visit, I will be sure to try Wildfire’s wide variety of meats and dinner items, including no-guilt Penne and Wood-Roasted Vegetables made with gluten-free pasta. This restaurant is an incredible setting for anniversaries, birthdays, or a night out with your significant other. And with many gluten-free options, you can have your cake and eat it too (try Wildfire’s Flourless Chocolate Cake!) Head over to River North to enjoy a meal with Wildfire!
